I am in the market for an inexpensive all in one machine-- I need the scanner function for doing dvd slideshows from old prints.. My printer also needs an upgrade, I currently use a HP Photosmart 7550.
This Epson Model seems like a great deal to me.
On sale at Best Buy for $99.99--
Epson RX595
Anyone use this model or one similar to it..
This is just for home use and not for prints to be sold or anything like that..

Random thoughts: =)
I like my Lexmark X9350 - works great and has some cool features, like a document feeder, wireless connectivity, and card readers. But I hate the Lexmark software that comes with it.
Epson is a good brand.
I might price ink before buying any printer, as that's going to be the primary cost of ownership. |

| I have a Hewlett-Packard 3-in-1; probably about time I replaced it, but then my computer eneds replacing, too. However, the HP software is also emminently dislikeable. |

For photography scanning most all in one's suck compared to a good quality dedicated photo/film scanner. My three year old Epson Perefection Photo 2400 easily beats the crap out of the HP, Lexmark, Dell, Brother and Canon all in one's that we have around here. (Of which the HP is a software drama, the Lexmark, Brother and Dell have broken down and of which the Canon is perfect). After the experiences with all these all in one's... I hate them. I rather have everything as seperate dedicated machines. But the Canon we now have is quite good. (At home I work with the Epson scanner and an Epson R300 printer).

Don't know anything about that particular printer, but I do own one of the Epson Stylus series, and the ink is quite expensive. Another thing about Epson is that if you wanted to prints something like a paper you wrote, which is in all black ink, but you were out of red, you would have to replace the red before it would print. The ink is quite expensive too!
Edit: However, I will never go to another brand, I have had the best results with my Epson's. It's worth the money to me!
