Light, Science & Magic (3rd Ed) - Phil Hunter e.t.c.
Anyone interested in doing the assignments as a group? I am @ 1/2 way thru reading the book and want to get thru reading it first but I wanted to go back and do all the exercises.
I know there is a Flikr group devoted to this but figured if we had a few here interested it might be worth doing as a group - DPC support group if you like :-).
I am flexible but was thinking of something low-key (as in don't expect me to lead and know this stuff :-o), this is self help) :-
- Strip off the things that could be assignments based on the chapters in the book.
(I can do that since I plan to do it anyway)
- Maybe have a 1-2 week/s time-frame to have the group post images.
(I am in no hurry as I want to go thru and understand each topic)... maybe 1 for the easy stuff and 2 for the later stuff?
- Others in the group would comment/help/suggest/commiserate/throw stones/laugh/make fun/whatever.
- Anyone needs to skip something feel free, low key.
Anyone???
PS - I was hoping we could use keywords (there is a spot to enter them in the portfolio) and search (you can search on keywords) to post images rather then thumbs in the thread but seems like the keyword search is NOT working :-o/ Have to have a play....

I also have the book and this would be interesting to take part in. The only problem is the triggering contacts of my cheapo flash are not working properly any more and this greatly complicates things (I shot this week's image for my PaW just now and had to do a long exposure in the dark and pop the flash using the test button). I will have to see if I can sort things out somehow. |

I'm one of the admins of the flickr group. At the moment, it's just kind of a disorganized dumping ground of people's shots.
I'd be interested in working the assignments together, as long as we don't try to go too quickly. I just don't have time for more than about one project a week. |
