Where is a good place to buy and sell lenses online? Or around southern kansas or northern oklahoma for that matter.

I have a couple lenses I want to sell and I am looking to buy one more. Plus some other camera equipment I don't use any more.

Ebay. Or you could post here & see if anyone is buying what you're selling.

You can also try Craigslist ... just watch out for scammers if you sell anything expensive. If there's a Craigslist for your area you might not even have to ship them.

//www.fredmiranda.com/forum/board/10

Both places are very good, fredmiranda's site though you have to pay a fee to post, not to respond to ads though.

Otherwise craigslist is supposedly nice too. I would avoid ebay if at all possible. You never know who you're dealing with there, at least at the two links I gave you they're photographers who take good care of their stuff and don't try to mislead you.

I am familiar with ebay, might just do that, but I'll try on here first. Which board on here is appropriate to list things for sale on?

Thanks jschro. I just looked at those links you send and found the lens I want for a great price.

I've had good luck both buying and selling on my local craigslist, but I don't know if you have a local craigslist where you're at.

There's a buy/sell forum here that's available to members (a measly $25 a year, well worth it). People seem to have good luck selling things here, especially the better quality stuff.

edit to add...I sold a lens on craigslist once where the buyer was from Las Vegas (350 miles). He sent me cash, and I mailed the lens. Not sure I'd recommend buying lenses that way, but it worked for him.

The buy/sell forum on here is for paying members only. You'll have to use a different one unless you pony up with $25.

too slow.....

I think this is costing me more money than it is making me. The more I look the more things I find that I want to buy.
