I noticed when searching for lenses (under the equipment tab) the search is strictly a phrase search. For example, if you type "70-200 VR" or "50mm 1.8" there will be no matching results.

However, the opposite is true when searching the forums, which makes it hard to narrow a search. I think it would be useful to provide a 'phrase search' option in the forums -- if not as a checkbox option, than at least by permitting quotation marks to indicate a phrase.
