I was wondering if someone could recommend a nice point and shoot camera for under $300.00? I'm buying my mom her first digital camera for Christmas and thought I'd seek opinions before purchasing. Thank you.

For easy to use and good pics, I like the Nikon L series. I have an L6. If you think she might want more control, I have read a positive review of the Canon A720. I think all the Canon A series have a decent rep.
