What is the best way to get skin tones to become blue in photoshop? I'm trying to do a shot that is mostly b&w with medium toned blue skin tones. Thanks for your help. |

Lots of different ways to skin the cat... so to speak.....
Try using the info in this tutorial by our very own idnicand applying it to the skin. :)

Remake of a classic Star Trek episode? Body paint is fun.
Anyway, as long as the skin is not horribly white, painting blue on a color layer should do what ya want.

Easiest way I can think of is to create a new curves adjustment layer, set the layer mode to color so it doesn't affect your tones, then mask off anything not skin and go in and adjust the Red, Green and Blue curves separately.
Stick to mid point changes unless you want some weird split toning effect. |
