Hi all,
I am working on my final project for Photography III, it was open-ended (anything we want). My idea was to show the burdens and memories that everyday people "carry around" with them that you can't see just from looking at them. My final project will have 3 photos (one for each subject), and they will be 20x30 on a wall, each with a pedestal in front of it with the purse or wallet that the subject in the photo owns. viewers will be able to look through the wallet/purse and see the contents (which will be clues about their lifestyle, etc), but I also want to incorporate 4x6 photos of "memories" the person has. I was originally going to just put them in the wallet or purse, but they won't fit in the wallet, and I want them to be displayed all the same. any ideas for what to do? I thought about getting some cheap tiny photo albums or binding the photos like books or something.... anyway, I'd love some suggestions! |

Depending on how many "memory" photos you want to include, I think a cheap photo album (or homemade versions) is an excellent idea. Perhaps the photo album itself could reflect the personality of the subject: one store bought, one made on construction paper and bound with string, etc...

Since you mention that there will be pedestals, why don't you attach the photos on the columns of the pedestals? Sort of a unique way to present them and it'll add another layer to the 3D element too.

Perhaps I could make a pocket on the front of each pedestal (those are extremely home-made pedestals, so I can put holes in them and what-not), and put the photos in that. I like both ideas so far, I am having trouble deciding! |
