I have Just Ordered Two Lenses which will arrive next week.
Canon EF 300mm f 2.8 IS
Canon EF 85mm f 1.2 II USM
Do you use eiher of these lenses and pass on some info to me please.

Can't help you with shooting info, as my lens is stuck to my camera body, but they sure do make pretty images. Congrats on feeding that photographic monkey on your back.

If that's what it costs to be a great photographer, well, I'll just be a good one........8>)

As regards the 85, don't even think about using 'focus-recompose' wide open. Just about guaranteed to get the subject OOF. In fact, it's pretty easy to move unwittingly between acquiring focus and shooting, so I often take two or three pics of the same subject, just to try to cover this eventuality.

Pass on some info. hmmmmm...

Well attach them to the front of your camera. And then press that round button on top, repeatedly, whilst pointing it at things.

That's the best advice I can give. ;)
