We all know that DPC can be a great source of information and advice for photographers, but how many of us actually REALLY take advantage of whats on offer. I have determined to try and improve my images and part of the way I am going to do that is to go through some of the tutorials that are on the site.

Until recently I have not really paid much attention to the tutorials but having spent some time going through them recently it is clear that they are a goldmine of information (and the ones I have seen so far have been easy to follow, which for a PP simpleton like me can only be a good thing)

This thread is for anyone who undertakes a tutorial to post there before and after shots...This wont be time limited and will hopefully just keep being added to

I will kick matters off with the outcome of undertaking the superb fotomann_forever methods of black and white conversion tutorial

Here is the original (from the street photography challenge)

And this is the reworked version (using Method 3. Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layers)

Finally the reworked version which I played around with a little more using blur

Comments are welcomed, but even better if you have a go at one of these yourself, they are a great resource

Wow, what an outstanding job at post processing! What a difference. I am in for this side challenge, but give me a few days.

I found the tutorials on my first visit here. The tutorial on basic curves was one of the things that gave my own shots a huge improvement, theone on Unsharp mask was also veyr helpful to me. I had never quite understood what it was before, as the name is confusing if you do not know it's origin.

I agree and I'm proud and blushing.

I've been using Cindi's Pimp the Eyes technique since she posted it. There are some really good tutorials here and more keep coming.
