I have several of these guys, Mickey, Minnie, Pluto. Some of the lights are not working. Anybody know the best way to fix the lights? As you can see more than half of Santa isn't working. I really don't want to re-string them. Thanks for any suggestions......

Get one of these babies.

I bought a LightKeeper Pro a couple years ago, and amazingly enough, they actually tend to work!

Cool!Looks like I can get one at a local hardware store.....Thanks!!!!I'll post some shots once I get all of the stuff up, it takes me a couple of days. We have a contest each year, I've won 1st place the past 7yrs.....Lol. I have so much stuff I had a electrician come out and put a dozen outlets to a separate fuse box, my wife got tried of the breakers going off.....Lol...........Alan Thanks again!!!!

No problemo -- hopefully you'll have good luck with it, too! Coincidentally, I was just digging mine out since I have 5 strands of light that are only partially lighting. I'll be getting them back into shape and onto my shrubs this afternoon.

I've found that the LightKeeper works surprisingly well... and if it doesn't work it's usually because there's a broken lightbulb in the string somewhere. If the bulb is actually shattered, it's not going to work.

Yep, I found that out the hard way a couple of days ago. I bought a premium pre-lit tree last year after Xams, and half of the bottom row of branches wasn't working when I did a test-light. The customer support folks sent me a LightKeeper Pro, and I went over everything with that to no avail, so they sent me a whole new string of lights to replace all 8 bottom branches. I enlisted the help of my kids, and my daughter and I were in the process of unstringing the last two branches Friday when she found a broken bulb tucked way back on the branch. Replaced the bulb and everything lit back up! Argh! So we had to turn around and re-string all those branches for nothing. My fault I guess, for not looking more carefully in the first place, but at least now I have a LightKeeper and an extra light strand. :-)

ETA: I had some decorations like your Santa (albeit smaller) and when they started going bad I just trashed them, so good luck with yours.

Alan this tool is one of the most amazing tools I've ever used. Santa was a quick fix, only one burned out bulb. Minnie was some work, found one broken bulb and two burned out ones. I haven't had minnie up for couple years now.....Just to Cool.....I'm putting everything up myself this year. My son usually helps me, but he is over in Iraq. He puts up the lights on the second story. It's going to take me another weekend, but all my stuff is working..........Big Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very glad to hear it worked out for you! I salvaged several strings of light today with it, too. It's a nice little gadget, well worth the $14 I paid for it.

I can't believe it, I got all my stuff working this year using this cool tool. Here's just a couple shots I took tonight. I still have to do some lighting on the 2nd level. Once all done, I'll post a full shot....Thanks again..Allen
