Hey everyone,
I just recently got a sigma 70-200 2.8 lens and it has hsm and full-time manual override. The d50 seems to have issues with full-time manual override. I have tried to fix it by putting the af on the ae/af lock button, but when i focus then mf the picture still won't take. The only way to take it is to have it "in focus" according to the camera. One way i can get it to work is to leave the af on the half click of the shutter and then lock af and then manual focus, which then allows me to take it because i have the af locked. I'm not sure how well i worded this question, but if anyone has advice, please help me.
Thanks,
Ryan

You might want to pose this question at Nikonians.
You can join for free and use their forums. One forum is for third party lenses. They have over 50,000 members. If someone has the answer to this chances are they are a member and will see it. I've been a member there several years and they are a friendly knowledgeable bunch. A more direct method would be to contact Sigma with all your info and see what they say about it.
