HP photosmart C7180
i seen it in the add it was only $150.00 thats $250.00 less then the origional price($400) i thought about picking it up because i have no printer for my photos. when you use photo paper, in the past this has happened when tey were shipped, the photo rubs off of the paper or gets wet and is blurred out from water spots, is that how the paper still is or is there some better paper out there that is able to hold a good print?
has anyone ever tried using a lazer printer to print photos? i member back in school they used to print the best pictures we could get but i never got to use photo paper in them
i really dont need all the fancy printing options to edit the picture cause i got photoshop, i just need a high quality color printer for digital prints, if you something diecent feel more than happy to post the name for me:) Thanks

What size prints are you looking to print? 5x7, 4x6, 8x10??
If you only want small prints 4x6 and smaller there are several dye-sub printers in the $100 range. I have the Canon Selphy CP740 and although it is limited to 4x8 or smaller it blows away any inkjet I've seen. Plus it is water resistant and the print quality is excellent. Cost per print is a little high but still reasonable at around $0.23-$0.27 per print depending on where you buy the supplies.
As for using a laser printer. I've tried it on a couple of different color lasers and never had good results. |

I would suggest you buy either a Canon IP4300 or an Epson in the same dollar range, I cant remember the model number, perhaps its a 280 or 380. I use an IP4300 and for personal or professional photos the results are amazing. I have been sunlight testing a photo that I printed when I first got mine and it hasnt faded yet and its been almost 1.5 years in a spot that normally fades cheaper printer photos in about 3 months. Archival to 100 years with the proper paper is what is claimed with the canon.

BTW I bought mine for around $70 new with a discount from Amazon.
