In the US on amazon it looks liek a new one (body only) lists for 2200. Is everything more expensive on your side of the ocean?

Nice camera mate, you will go nuts the first time you look through that massive viewfinder. kiss your HDD space goodbye though.

The new one costs € 2.095 (approx. 3080 US$). Yes, almost everything is more expensive in Germany, it's the damn taxes.

Hey great move man. I've been looking into getting a 5d for a long time but i'm waiting till i got to Montata, USA as there's no sales tax!.. i think the price you paid was a bit steep though, you could have had one shipped from USA for a lot cheaper... still, congrats on your purchase :)

What's next on the shopping list?

Enjoy the new toy and since you have already pulled the string, don't look at what it cost elsewhere. Just start shutter pressing and be happy

Unless EU Customs notice the package and whack on the VAT% and Import Duty, that is.
