If anybody is interested B&H is taking orders (and charging credit cards) on D300 bodies. They don't usually take more orders than they can ship, so here's your chance to jump the lines that the other places have.
edit: they now have it marked as "In Stock"
another edit: "Out of stock"

There are alot of people starting to get their D300's and post up shots over on NikonCafe.com I mean my gosh, look at this ISO 3200 shot from a D300 here. (supposedly that is with Noise reduction turned off)
For a Nikon APS-C sensor camera, that is insanely good! Looks like Nikon has definitely turned the corner when it comes to Noise performance. |

I signed up at B&H to be notified when they are in stock. Funny I find out about their availability here, but haven't received an email yet.

Is it me, or do you think an aperture of f/10 would have a wider depth of field than what appears in that photo?

Probably only about 0.5 to 1.5 feet behind the subject, so it looks okay. |

Larry, you're taking the plunge to the world of the SLR? At long last eh? :) |

Hey, Tez!
Well, still thinking about it. A lot. :-)
EDIT: B&H is already out of stock! He who hesitates loses out (but saves a couple of thousand dollars).
