hi there,

during the past year i started to actually earn real money with my photography, so i thought it was about the time to make it serious and get me my own homepage and business cards. i thought a similar design for both might help to make the people recognize my work. here's what i came up with, it's just a first concept, but your opinion on what to improve or any helpful tipps would be awesome!Thank you!

homepage (will be in german and english language):

and my business card(s) (i'll probably select 2 or 3 i 'll always have with me and then let people decide which one(s) to choose):

I like your website design. Maybe keep the size of the font the same for the headings, but maybe shrinking it a bit for the sub-sections.

As for the cards, they're good but you might have trouble printing white/grey text on black cards. I had white text on black for mine and the white needs to be big and bold for it to be seen as the black ink bled a little bit into it so it looks very thing and sometimes hard to decipher. All in all though, it ain't half bad. There is a lot of writing on your card though to the point where it looks a bit cramped at the bottom, could you shrink that and fit in all in one line and just have all the stuff there? I used a phone icon, then a number, an envelope icon, then my email address and finally an icon of a PC and my web address to keep it simple and coherent.

The icons are available in the 'shapes' menu in Photoshop btw.

hey, thanks for your comment!
i'll probably change the text on the cards anyway, different font and size and the dpc link will be replaced by my homepage adress. i'll give those items a shot i guess, thanks for that hint.

how do you like the overlays in the portfolio section of my hp?
as in these two i.e.:

do you think it looks too busy when browsing the photos and always have the background changed with every picture? and do you think this could become a problem for modem users because of the bigger graphic files?
