Lightroom 1.3 includes corrections for the following issues:
œ Writing XMP metadata automatically has been corrected for performance issues
œ Printing with the native resolution option enabled no longer sets the wrong dimension for portrait oriented images
œ Prior to Camera Raw 4.3 there was the possibility that artifacts in edge transitions could be introduced through the
Bayer demosaic and luminance noise reductions algorithms. This has been corrected.
œ The Canon sRAW format and the Fuji compressed RAF formats are now supported.
Lightroom 1.3 includes the following enhancements:
œ The import dialog now offers the option to render 1:1 previews as part of the import process
œ The export dialog layout has been enhanced
œ A Lightroom Preview Export SDK is available for developers to create and distribute Export Plug-ins. Further details
are located on Adobe Labs
Newly Supported Raw File Formats:
Canon 1Ds Mark III
Canon PowerShot G9
Nikon D3
Nikon D300
Olympus E-3
Olympus SP-560 UZ
Panasonic DMC-L10
XMP metadata performace was driving me crazy. My CPU was at 50%-100% for 30-60 minues after import. Finally it is fixed. |

Man, I just bought LR 1.2 since my evaluation ran out. Too bad, I could have waited and the price would have dropped, or I could have just bought 1.3. I hate being behind, but what can you do?

Or is this just a simple upgrade, so I won't have to buy anything new?

I guess I will answer myself, I just went to adobe's site and it looks like it is just a downloadable upgrade, thats good news. I guess I should look before I post. Apparently there is only 1 version of lightroom, with a couple of upgrades. Anyway, ignore my stupidity please.
