Okay, so I purchased this item:
Fisheye Lens plust Macro

My question is: I currently have two lens: 1. 18-55mm and 2. 70-300mm
Would these lens' be compatible with the one I purchased from Ebay?

I also bought this one:
Macro Lens

Same question as above...please help. Ive never used these before nor have I seen one, I just have seen what type of pictures they can produce if used properly.

Thanks Everyone.

The pictures for both lenses are exactly the same. Unfortunately, I think you just bought two of the same thing.

Yes they would but I don't think that you will get a super clear picture from them. These are the kind that just screw on to the end of your lens.

I think you are on to something here. I checked both the links and they point to the same Auction ID #

If you want a good fisheye lens then buy the Peleng. But it is a MANUAL lens. I think it can be had for around $250 - $300

But if you want a great fisheye lens then buy the Canon 15mm but that one will set you back $500 - $600

With the ones you purchased I believe the best thing to do is just put them back on ebay.

Use those for a while to see if you like them. There's one thing that you need to remember about photography, if you want something good and lasts then nothing is cheap. The saying "you get what you pay for" is true when you talk about photography.

Just try it out and see what you think. You never know you may like it and it may work just fine until you decide to get something really good.

Someone actually just posted a thread about a new 4.5mm macro that was just released for the Cannon's, maybe that might be something you could save up for.

Thanks a lot everyone. I really didn't know the difference. This helps a lot. Im going to try the two I just purchased from ebay, and see how I like it, get familiar with those types and then get better quality =.

A problem with both your purchases is that they have to be the right size to fit on your lens, which limits the amount of use you will get from them. Those macro lenses can be pretty useful though. These two images were taken with a macro lens attached to my Sigma 70-300:

I'm not as confident about the results you'll get with the fisheye lens, but you can try. It might give you results you're happy with until you can afford something better.

Lowcivicman99, the Sigma 4.5mm sounds just a little extreme for my purposes. I'm not sure I'm keen on round images. But their other new lens - 10mm fisheye Macro sounds really interesting. I'm kind of glad now that I haven't got around to buying the 10-20mm zoom yet. Just wish I knew if I'll be able to afford the fisheye.
