Canon is telling EOS 40D owners to expect firmware update soon (possibly by the end of November).

I'm glad I'm currently using version 1.0.3. However, those running version 1.0.4 have been experiencing issues with the RAW files that version creates. Here's one of many discussions about the problems with 1.0.4.
