| When did this happen. The World Baseball Classic was last year, like February 2006. Did I miss something? And who from America was playing if this happened more recently. |

for me is always a great surprise. it's a great results, in Italy there are only few teams and the baseball don't enter in the sport news. last win was in 1986 against a universitary team...... there are some names of american players in the news (Jayson Nix,Blevins ,Gronkiewicz) but I haven't any idea of their level....... |

| Yeah, I looked at the roster, they are all AA/AAA level minor league players for major league clubs. The World Baseball Classic is the event to look out for, and America didn't even win that one!!! Some of the latino and asian countries have amazing baseball clubs. |

| In Europe normally I remember that some years ago Italy and holland had a decent team. In my mind remember Cuba as good team, but I don't like the Baseball. in Italy the football (i.e. the soccer) is the first one sport, in second position there is the volley because is the sport that we have in all the schools. the baseball is a famous sport but I think that is tipically american. |
