I am curious as to how people select photos from thumbnails to view...
I recently uploaded three photos, of which my favourite was:
[thumb]609183[/thumb]
but I am getting more views on:
[thumb]609182[/thumb]
Which do you prefer? Comments welcomed since I am here to learn... :o)

People are drawn to lofty interiors I think. Doors are less inherently interesting to most people.

The portrait orientation lends itself to the grandeur of the architecture captured in #2. I'd select #2 from a thumbnail scan, because it looks more interesting/appealing.

It's the leading lines. They just grab your mouse cursor and force you to open that image.
Seriously, there's more intrique and interest in the interior shot. The other two you've posted are kind of easy to see what's up by viewing the thumbnail. |
