Cool beans, I like it. How did you get the pink gone or did it even happen for you????
It looks a million times better than I was able to do and I tried for three hours. I'm not great in Photo shop, but I gave all I could.
Do you like it??

Yea I think it looks pretty good, the editing is part of my workflow with smart objects. If you have PS CS3 I would be more than happy to send you the original PSD file so you can see what I did. Its quite simple once you see it but would take a bit for me to explain but will post the process also if you like :)
At one point in my past work I was ACE certified in the 7.x and 8.x versions of photoshop, illustrator and some other Adobe products until I got hooked in to the world of 3d animation...

It prob can, in the simplest form I can explain it in is I used a B&W layer with a colour edited pink layer and just used a layer mask on the top B&W layer to essentially paint out the B&W and bring out only the pink parts...

Originally posted by Monique64: So now we are only waiting for February and September to get their photos finalised and onto the blog. How exciting. Not sure what I have do about ordering calanders. I hope that we aren't expected to sell hundreds as I live in a really small community and wouldn't manage such sales. I had planned on buying some for my family and a few extras for friends etc, something like 20 calendars. Is this OK. Dont mind buying more if I know I could sell them but the last thing I want to do is end up with heaps of calendars left over. Anyone else has thoughts on this. What are the other buying. |
Hey, I'm only getting 25 for now, I'm unemployed and I'll have to move some to get more......I got the link to Winn Claybaugh, and I'm going to give it out as I can.....who knows?
I don't think anyone's expecting this to sell thousands, but who knows.
If it takes off, I know I'd sure be delighted to do it again.

Morning Dave your reedit looks better then the first the added pink helps and the grouping of the family is sweet. It's always nice to have a little one in the shot.
Sharon and Jims' daughter is away at school so on such short notice she couldn't get home in time so she said to use dad and put him in a dress, it wouldn't be the first time:-}
Could you shoot me over the edited shots so I can post them as thumb nails and print one off for my models.
Thank you again my wife loves the edit and I'm going to try again to see if I can do it but I'm happy to know that it's done if I screw it up again.

Ok so hers the history.I had all kinds of trouble trying to edit the first shots that I took of Sharon and Jim. I posted for help and got great advice but after working on it for a long time and getting angery at the computer(after all it was the computers fault, right?) I noticed that I had all the settings set wrong in my camera and was still set up in outdoor mode (what a jackass)and I noticed that the shots were not as "tac" sharp as they could/should be.
So I called Shoarn and Jim and told them and offered our first born as payment to let me come over and shot again. They understood and alowed me to come over at 9:10 pm and shot again (they are so cool) and told me to keep Caleb, he might be worth something one day.
I finished up the shoot and then tried to do the edit and ended up having the same problems but this time the shots were in focus and looked better for it.
This is where the cry for editing help came in and Dave was able to answer that call at the hour of my post. Dave took the raw files and did the edit and then posted to me how he did it so I can try (future project).
So after all that Sharon and Jim were wonderful models and Dave was/is my Hero for the edit.
Thank you for letting me have a shot at this at the last moment and a GREAT BIG THANK YOPU to everyone for coming forward to do this in the first place.
Now I have a gift of the edited shot for their efforts and we have all the spots filled :-}
Thank you JOJO
MAX!

If anyone hasn't sent me their photo or their models' quote, please do so in the next hour... I do have to sleep sometime and I have to work tonight... file transfer for finals is at 5pm DPC server time. If I don't have a quote, there won't be a quote. |
