I am very disappointed in the photographs for "Something New IV." Not a whole lot of originality or creativity. We can do better! |

Yes, I think the same. Also, most of them are not really something new. People must learn to follow the theme. |

And, not a single new born. |

Mine was brand spankin' new, right out of the package...and it's still getting "bit of a stretch" for the challenge. Why are all the old watches, shoes, pianos fine for the "old" challenge. But, new things aren't considered fitting the "new" challenge? There's a disparity here...why? |

I haven't voted yet, but if it aint old then its new right? I doubt that I'll see a single DNMC photo in the bunch. |

In case you are new to this site.. I thought this is a place where people can learn and discover new techniques and feed off each other. With countless # of photographs produced you are very seldom going to get an "original" shot. Some are just learning their way around a camera, some are just discovering their creativity and then their are some that just think they are original and creative. Yes we should push our boundaries in order to grow. Everyones boundaries are different!! So for people to expect more from others but not produce something of quality themselves should stop and check themselves first.. then constructively criticize. Outright cutting up people's ideas and work is not helping anyone. Maybe comment on good things the pic has to offer and point out things they can improve upon. Then we can all produce great shots! |

I am not telling you what this site is about. People will get what they want out of this site. If you read it properly you would notice that I merely stated my opinion on what I thought I would get out of this site. But I guess you will get people of all kinds..some who know a little ...and some who know everything!! So glad you could join us.
