I took a shot YESTERDAY... with ONE LIGHT SOURCE... to enter to free study, and today I was like "WTF!?". If I took that shot a day later...
Hopefully will do fine in free study, I will have to come up with something else for this one now.
dang! |

Is a subtle use of a reflector going to be DNMC?

I'm starting to think that I'll never be able to figure out the "will this be DNMC" question.
I don't know anything about using reflectors. I guess as a voter I would say that... if it looks like the light is coming from multiple directions, then I might not see that as meeting the challenge. If it looks like it's just the one, then it would.

I have a complete single light source shoot planned for next sunday. So there will probably be one of mine in the challenge :-P |

I'm having doubts about it too. to me it would specify as a second lightsource, even if it is only a reflection of a light. |

I suppose thats the point isnt it, I could sit back on my high horse and watch the DNMC's roll in saying to myself 'but its a reflector!'
Or I could make sure my photo look like its only one source, which is the whole point anyway

Is unsubtle use of the Sun as your single light source going to score well? :-P

but that would be deceiving a bit wouldn't it? because you used a reflector clever enough for it not to be obvious...but you just don't tell. |

The directions on the challenge specify artificial light. |

What is the difference between the sun and the light bulb?
God made the sun and Edison made light bulb. Guess sunrise or sunset will get alot of DNMC |

A light source doesn't have to be capable of generating it's own light. A reflector is considered a passive light source. Use one at your own risk. |
