Here's an idea for a group activity to try
1) Each person gives the name of an Album/CD that they enjoy and recommend.
2) The next person picks one that THEY like, but that shares something in common with the first Album/CD. The commonality should be such that someone liking Group A would probably like Group B.
Example: Someone says: SgtPepper/Beatles. Next person says: AllThingsMustPass/George Harrison.
That's a pretty easy/obvious example, but that's the idea. Hopefully, people may find some new music this way.
Here's a new artist I discovered thanks to Starbucks free music, and already bought this CD (download).

Who's Next by The Who.
(KT said the Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again" is the one song she wishes she had written.) |

Well try again and see if it catches on.
Electric Ladyland - Jimi Hendrix Experience
Hard rock from the same era. Also both Hendrix and Pete Townsend can be pretty hard on a guitar on stage ;) |

Disraeli Gears by Cream (with Eric Clapton at his best). If you are going to mention guitarists, you need to mention this gem

And if you're going to mention *that* guitarist, then From the Cradle is a must listen... pure blues, a trip back to the roots of rock. |

If we're going to talk blues, than Tab Benoit, "What I Live For" to bring us to the current crop of hot blue guitarists. |
