I thought I'd post up some new images where I'm playing second shooter. But rather than start a new thread, I'll just keep this one from last year going. All of these shots are taken by me while the primary shooter is busy getting shots from a different angle, with a longer or wider lens, or completely different shots all together:

Actually, the first one on the last row was totally set up by me. While the primary photographer was busy handling the reception, I set up the lights on the staircase to capture the bride and groom with the sun setting behind them. As soon as I was ready, I called the B&G out of the reception and shot those last couple of images.

Good work as always. When you say you set up the lights, does that mean you were using strobes and set them up? I love the setting and the lighting. Makes me wonder how big and beautiful the rest of the venue was.

A really nice series of shots...that Canon camera is a beauty! I like the little things you do with shoes and jewelry etc... |

It's done Strobist style, :-)
Canon 580 EXII on camera, Canon 580 EXII shooting thru an umbrella on a stand down on the floor to my right (it's on the floor, but lifted up pretty high) and a Canon 420 EX on a stand (no umbrella) on the stair case up above/behind them.
I set the camera exposure to manual and metered off of the sunset before calling them out. Put them into position and fired. I swear, we were there a total of about 10 seconds before we moved on to the next shot (I needed to get them back into the reception).
