My new Tokina AF 12-24mm f/4.0 AT-X 124AF Pro DX arrived and now that I have it, Im not sure when I should use it instead of my 50mm. Ideas?

Use it for landscapes, use it for photos where you don't have a lot of room/space such as interior, architectural photos. Use it to emphasis or distort characteristics in the real world.

For me, my Sigma 10-20 is usually used for landscapes. Wide angles are perfect for that.

use it now use it tomorrow use it till you get used to it!!!!

That's the Nikon version of the Pentax smc P-DA 12-24mm F4.0 ED/AL (IF). Many of the new Tokina lenses are made in conjunction with Pentax.
