I'd love some feedback on this if anyone would care to offer some. It's my first try at the ubiquitous smoke photo.

Looks good, although it would be nice if the top of the smoke wasn't cut off. |

I agree about the top being cut off but I also think that the white background creates too much of a contrast to the smoke. Maybe try a dark background and let the smoke be lit up by your light so it is brighter on the dark background.
But you did a good job on the swirls and shape of the smoke.

not bad, but could be much sharper. would be easier to comment if you provided f/stop and exposure

Looks like you've done a pretty good job. Next time try using an external flash of you have one. That really helps to get the smoke to freeze. The trick is to have the flash below and behind the smoke you're shooting.
