Thanks for all the work and comments on these shots. It's all very helpful and will aid my future approach to portraits.

Incidentally, I agree that NeatImage can remove personality form a shot sometimes, so a little texture left behind is a good thing. I would probably duplicate a layer and selectively mask the NeatImage version where it needs it.

My own personal favourite is the top one, 'M' - it's more edgy and certainly is a side to the subject that most of those who know her don't see.
