I just have to say that I'm glad to see that there are few comments left on my submits in two of the challenges that are taking place right know. One have 13 comments and the other 10.
I myself try to leave a comment on every photo I rank even if the comment is not not good. It's better to lett people knoe that they are doing something wrong then not to tell them. You will never learn else.

I also leave comments that are just one word like "perfect" ... I hope you like what Iðm trying to do :P

Thanks to Justine. She's left a comment on all my entries during the voting stage except one.

i owuld like to leave a comment on every photo. i would.
however, one some i have no useful input. i so say good job on those i think are.

this last challenge, i commented on 30 some odd percent and voted on all.

however, once i have seen 'art' spelled out with wrenches for the Nth time, i tend to want to comment rather disparagingly even thoght the entrant deserves a better comment. perhaps the comment should be 'if this was all the btter idea you had, then you should have not entered'. It might be true, but then does that do anything other than alienate the entrant? Since i may not feel that way on first 2 or 3 wrnch pics, and one may actually be very good, is it a proper comment at all?

So if i try to state something constructive, would that be 'technically acceptable but a lousy choice of subject matter'?

This past contest i saw too many dark underexposed pics. i commented on soem of them, and got quite a response from some that i was nuts. after some explanation, a few agreed with me (see //www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/expose-right.shtml) so some learned from my comments. That is the point i suppose, but those that did not learn may have gone away unhappy. I am not here (as in alive on this planet) to make people happy, as their reaction to my observation is totally on them, but i don't want to spend my existance pissing people off unnecessarily (well, there are those days...)
