| Someone is playing with my head.....I just got an 8 and 2 7's in a row. this is seriously messing with my 4.XXX average |

That seems about right to me. There are quite a few photos out there that are good photos but the POV isn't interesting and doesn't add anything to the photo. Its mainly a straight on basic photo! |

Could it be that there are a lot of different 'points of view' on this challenge?
I agree with the earlier sentiments about looking a lot like a free study. From quickly looking at the thumbs (i haven't had a chance to go through the entries individually yet), I will have to spend some serious time figuring out how the photogs used point of view in a unique and interesting way to add something to their entries...

I was kinda expecting this to be at least in the mid 5s. I think everyone is missing the point of my point of view. Which is okay, because everyone has there own point of view (aka opinion). There is no right or wrong. I still like my photo. I do appreciate the one comment even though they didn't see my point of view. It is only the first day maybe just maybe I might creep into the low 5s. |

Has anyone else ever noticed that around this time on the first day of voting, on almost every challenge, someone comes around dropping 1's? I have, and I don't like it.

Judging by my drop, I think I must've gotten a couple. Sigh. But mine's over 7 still (woo hoooooooo)...so I'm going to think positive that the later-in-the-challenge-voters will make up for the early trolls.

And BTW - I agree on the free study-ness of this challenge. I went to a lot of trouble trying to find unique points of view (even if some of them didn't work out as I'd hoped), and to see "plain" portraits and landscapes (even if they're well done) makes me feel almost cheated. I didn't take advantage of any of the foliage.

All I ask is to finish higher than 5.9376. That will give me the high score for the camera that I used. That would be two weeks, two camera high scores (different cameras). Then next week I can make it three by simply taking any photo with my daughter's camera. No one has ever entered with it. Matter of fact, I'm the only one who has it registered on my account.
I was honestly expecting a 5.1 on this shot.
