i'm curious about how this is done. is it a floating box with a database field in it that grabs a thumbnail at random?
also, are all the images in there, or the 3 placers for ea contest? |

It''s just a random number grabbing a numbered file. The images are generally top-3 challenge placers, though honestly they were just ones I thought looked nice up there :) Guess that''s a perk of being an admin. ;)
We decided that we had almost 2,000 user images on the site, and using a stock photo of a mountain just wasn''t cutting it anymore :)
I''ll be adding a bunch more, but I figured this would do for now. If you know one that would be nice up there, let me know. Thx for the positive comments.

One more thought for our "Wish List" ~ Sure would be nice if there was a way to link those pictures to the photographers profile so we could see it larger, I know I would like to see the photo's from previous challenges I wasn't here for! :)

Did you know that under Challenges at the top of this page you can link to the archived challenges? It''s really fun to go through them and fun to see how well some of our photographers have done. Also it''s a lesson in what''s hot and what''s NOT. Enjoy.

Thank you, I did - but instead of having to locate the picture by what challenge, thought it would be easier to just 'click' - Thanks though :)
