Ok so I bought the lens and have been playing with it tonight, Freaking AWESOME!!
Anyway I ended up getting the 17-85 IS lens with it as buying the 40D and a new 17-40L was out of my price range, Ive read some reviews on the 17-85 and was wondering if anyone else had it that could give me some feedback on it as Im thinking of returning it and maby trying to find something in a Sigma maybe that mite almost compare to my old 17-40 that I mite be able to afford.
Also on another note, although I love the new body I dont love that there is no IR remote which kinda sucks and the cheapest one Ive found is a cable release for about $60cdn :( and going to find out if I can get a generic battery as I found out the canon battery is $109cdn :(

You can get generic remotes and batteries on ebay. They work just fine :)
