Newegg has 133x 2GB Transcend cards for $20 and 120x 2GB cards for $38. Can anybody spot a crucial difference?

Maybe one is an older model? NewEgg is definaltely a good place to buy memory cards. Mine all came from there. I usually avoid the cheapest ones and names I don't recognize over concerns about reliability. Although price really can't tell you for sure about that. I have secure digital cards from Corsair and Ridata.

Different controller with a bunch of useless bells and whistles on the 120x.

They got a deal on the better cards? Have you looked anywhere else to see if others have these on special? I dunno! :)

I have Transcend cards right now and have managed to lose a few (not in a electronic sense but in an absentminded professor sense). I was turned onto the brand by Scalvert and have not had trouble with them.

It's just time to replace those that I lost. I actually own the 120x ones, but I'll try the 133x since they are half the price.

I've noticed that a lot of places that sell electronics and the like run stupid sales.

I just bought a Maxtor 500GB external drive for about $89 by the time my $30 rebate check comes back, off the shelf at Staples.

PC Connection has the 80GB Maxtor unit for $99.

I just bought two 512MB cards of RAM for $60 (the pair) for my box, and two days later when I went back, the same cards, by the same manufacturer, in the same place on the shelf, were $74.95 EACH.

I bought a 2GB CF card for $24.95 about three months ago......on special.

Gotta love the competitive capitalist system!.....8>)

I picked up a pair. Good price for those looking. 2GB is a good size to me. Big enough to get 100 shots on RAW+small JPG. Not too big that you lose a ton if the card is corrupted or lost.
