A friend of mine sent some of my photos to a friend of his, and now the mother wants me to do family portraits for them. We'll be meeting at a park by the lake/beach this weekend, weather permitting.

She has two boys, aged 9 and 12 she wants shots of. She asked me because she's tired of the same old stuff, and has seen many of my shots which I regularly send out to a group of friends via email (not just DPC shots), which eventually made their way to her.

I also have a second family booked for the following weekend, three daughters, one son, and the mother. When it rains, it pours, eh. She's a direct mailee on my photo-list.

So, I'm soliciting here for any ideas. Some standard stuff, and some not-so-standard stuff. Examples would be fantastic!

Thanks! :-)

I was thinking that L1 had some cool shots of her boys in her portfolio that might give you some ideas.

When my boys were young we had a guy come to our house and he climbed the tree after my boys. They were absolutely amazing shots. Just an idea.

Before I even opened this thread, the word "tree" came to mind. Give it a minute to sink in - boys = tree = wood = treehouse / bat / sailboat / 'wood' wind musical instrument... or even playing in a pile of leaves!

Best of luck to you & hope this helps. (Be sure to show us the results!)

Billy

eta - I didn't even read anyone else's ideas til after posting LOL (way to go genie!) :)
