Had a model shoot today with Carissa. First shoot since June. Man it has been too long. It was our first meeting and although they are not perfect I feel we got some pretty good shots. We had a blast and I think it shows in these images. I have about 400 total to sift through so this is just a few that stood out to me on my first go around. These have only been resized for DPC and as you all know I am no expert at Photoshop. So any suggestions and/or comments are greatly appreciated and any comment given on thse images willl be returned. I need to make that goal of 2500 comments given.

And while on the College Campus saw a nice college prank and HAD to get a shot:

I think you did a great job, James. Some of the poses are perfect, others are a little off. Still, out of 400ish, you should be able to show her an excellent selection.

had to count to 11 to ensure you weren't being incredibly rude :)

they look good, for this kind of shoots i would used the 85 mm 18 really full at 1.8 or 2 to make a lot of dof, i like the the second pic at best, well composed great tones they work fine, about the others, im not really shure about thelight blu dress it looks to fancy for the enviroment, maybe a little later in the evening the location could work better for the dress

all the expression of the model are great, you handelt it very well that is one of the more important thing shooting this kind of session
nice work

maybe trying some black and white or desaturate the ones with the blue dress can improve the pic a little more

sorry my english

i suck

James, I really like what you've captured, and would have to say that my favorite OVERALL would be number one. (Was that near the hammock / covered porch?) Next I'd say 4 & 8. Carissa has a pretty smile, and good skin; would definitely try to work with her again. I'm finding that working with models more than once can give GREAT results... of course, you're much better than me @ getting their personality to show anyway.

(Pssst! Don't forget about that large print!)

All comments returned. Keep them coming. I did get one of her swinging. Also if you are wondering why I have so many of her in the blue dress in the grass it is because that was the final stop of the day. We sat there and talked for about an hour about everything and in between conversations I would say do this and she would pose. And she would throw out suggestions and do them. It was by far the best time I have ever had on a shoot. I feel it helps to get to know the model as well and the half hour drive there just listening to her talk was a great start.

Here are some more shots:

I need to go in and add the lenses I used. For the most part I only used two lenses.

My Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 and my Canon 85mm f/1.8

I used the 70-200 F/4L on a few but didn't like what it produced for this.
