Ok, I didn't realise that the 30d would not support infrared remote like the 350d did (darn). So have looked at the following two items on ebay and would like to know if others have purchased these and which is preferred, remote cord or wireless remote. I'm thinking wireless has more applications but there may be a better argument for having a cord remote.
As usual, your thoughts will be much appreciated.
Following is the two items I'm looking at.
Wireless Remote
Cord Remote

Since you are paying $25 for postage to Oz, might as well go wireless of the 2 options you list since the postage is the bulk of your cost.
Personally, I disagree that this is a good replacement for the Canon 80N3 but again it's a %$#%# lot more expensive. I hate that Canon rip us off on interval timers e.t.c. cause most of the functions of the 80N3 could be built into the firmware of the camera (Nikon has the interval built in some bodies).

Hey Robs, I think a Canon one would be nice but the expense is just too much for the amount I would use it. Cheap alternatives will have to do.
The two items I listed work out around the same by the time you put the postage and price together (not much difference) and some ebayers work that way. Put the price in the postage to save on listing fees.
Anybody else care to comment? |
