My old computer crashed so I had to get a new one. I got a Gateway that came loaded with the new version of Windows: Windows Vista. Luckily for me, the salesman asked what I was going to mainly use my new computer for. Of course, I said for photography. Then he asked what editing program I used: I had Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0. Guess what? Elements 4.0 does not work with Vista. So, now I have a new computer AND Photoshop Elements 6...!
On a side note and if your curious, prior to my old computer crashing, I could tell it was in the downward spiral so I got an external hard-drive and saved all my photos and files. Before I went out and got a new computer I tried one more time to start my old one...it wouldn't even boot! Whew...that was close! |

| My old computer died last week, too! I have just logged on on my spanking brand new shiny Toshiba P200-17C, complete with Vista operating platform. It never occurred to me that Elements 4 wouldn't run on it, and there is no way I can upgrade to 5 or 6 until the end of next month. Oh heck! |
