What do you guys think? I only get business through word of mouth but I use smugmug for order fulfillment and online galleries for friends and families to view, etc.

I wanted to keep it simple yet refined.

I still have plans to add more to it but this is what I've accomplished in 48 hours.

Not bad, Kevin. Clean & simple, but mabye a little dull?

^^

Yes, for now.

I'm going to be adding some photo collages to the prices and contact page to spice them up. Also adding another page altogether for extra info/about type stuff.

Any other suggestions for additions though?

Remember, not really using it for advertising. Most people who go there will already be clients logging in to view/purchase.

Simple and clean, but I do think you you add more depth. Even if viewers are already client, this is a good chance to show them what else you can do. For example, you do a senior portrait session and then as he senior's father is accessing your site he notices a nice corporate portrait. He knows sees you not only as his daughter's photographer but maybe somebody that could do portraits for his company as well.

In general... it's very hard to get the attention of a potential client. Once you do have their attention you should take full advantage of it and show them everything that you can do.

Thanks for sharing...

Guess I really need to work on mine. I don't even have one of those cool artistic names/logos at the top. If we just had a few more hours in the day...

I like the overall design, much better than my generic smugmug site.

You just might want to add a few more shots, there really isn't much to look at. I'd take away shot 6 and add some other stuff, my 2 cents though. Nice photos!

Nice looking site Tammy.

I like the search a lot, any problem with me borrowing that idea?

One slight concern, and it's minor. It took me a number of clicks to drill down to images. Nature, Waterfalls and then images. Maybe shallow that up a bit or add the first level to your menu.

Borrow anything you would like....the font is occidental. Thanks for the point on "shallowing up" i will work on that this weekend.

I've put in some updates...

expanded the portfolio, added a little color, added a collage image to the prices page, and added a cell phone image I took to the contact page.

If you have some free time, check her out.

Both you guys need to lose the right click "disable" big time. Personally, I don't bother with sites that have that because I use the right click for a LOT of stuff and it cripples my browsing. If you think it stops people grabbing the images you are kidding yourselves :-)

Edit: Cause I cannot sprell :-)

It stops lots of people who don't know other ways around it. And for those that do, that's why the image is watermarked.

Just because there are other ways to break into my house doesn't mean I'm going to leave the front door standing wide open.

Same here, I know if people want to spend the time to get the image ok then but like kevin said most dont know how. And also just cause I see a site that has right click disabled that does not make me want to leave the site or not look at it, I never wanna download images anyway.
