My top two golf trips this year were to Pebble Beach (played PB, Spyglass, Spanish Bay, Poppy Hills) and Bandon Oregon (Bandon Trails, Bandon Dunes, Pacific Dunes).

Some pics from Pebble/Monterrey (highlights - birdies on 7 and 17 at Pebble - two great par 3's - that's me next to my tee shot on 17 in the last thumb):

And the view through one of the patio doors at my friend's vacation home in Monterrey (where I stayed for free!!):

Some pics from Oregon:

If anyone is interested, there are more pics in the "golf" section of my portfolio.

Oh man, you had some great weather. Takes me back to the old days. In the late 70's / early 80's I lived int he Carmel Highlands and played out of Spyglass. I was dew-sweeping 4-5 days a week at Spyglass. Spanish Trail hadn't been built yet. Played pebble in team matches. Played Bandon Dunes a few years ago with my Brother-in-law...

Nice shots!

Yep - had ridiculously good weather on both trips. It was 77 degrees out when I teed off at Pebble with the wind at only 10mph. Doubt it gets any better than that. Spyglass was my favorite on that trip (I played it from the tips and 3 months later I still feel like I am walking uphill). The greens at Pebble were horrendous (really, really awful) and the pace of play not much better. I tried every angle I could with several people and was not able to get out on Cypress......next time.....

I, too, am a dew-sweeper. I have the first tee time every weekend at my local course so we can play in 3.5 instead of 5 hours. There is no other way to play for me.

Where are all the golfers?

Nice shots, love the colors and sharpness of the Lone cypress, I wasn't going to mention it but now that it got bumped; isn't there one "r" in Monterey? :)

I don't golf but my inlaws volunteer (drive the players around) for the big events on those courses. They live up in the hills over Carmel Valley...I get to shoot the area when I visit. Always fun to get back where I was brought up in Aptos (Santa Cruz side of the Monterey bay).
