Does anyone know of way to take pictures of the moon using a telescope without an adapter? The reason is I have a telescope and I can't seem to find an adapter. Before I go out and buy a new telescope I figured I'd ask first. |

Yikes! What kind of telescope do you have?
I've had my eye out for a Meade ETX-90 , ETX-105, or an ETX-125 for some time now. |

have you tried looking here for an adapter
Scopetronics
they have a whole section for digital camera adapters. if you want to use your 300D you just need a T-mount adapter and you can do prime focus or you can get another adapter and do eyepiece projection (afocal) shots

I did it Thursday night, just put my camera in super macro mode so it could focus up close on the eyepiece, and snapped away. Came out MUCH better than I expected since I used a $15 plastic telescope someone gave my 4-year old for X-mas.
Pics are here - hope this link works!
The quality of Yahoo's photo page is weak, but I haven't added these pics to my personal website yet. |
