I like that idea, those type of pictures bring out the nostalgic feelings in people. |

Quite different from "desolation", IMO. In fact, I'd have a blast with this one. I have several potential subjects... in my yard!
LOL, just kidding about the yard.

i see the relation, but i guess i might have described it somewhat incorrectly. i think it's more like things that have been weathered/worn-down with time. as my interpretation of it goes, many of the entries in the desolation challenge wouldn't really fit the bill. this is a fair representation of possible derelict entries (although they don't necessarily need to be all so close. i think that's a quality more the result of trying to show the texture of the subject. also try here, and click on any of the photographers for some of their 'derelict' photography. |
