I am a student a a community college. I'm trying to figure out what degrees or requirements i need to get hired on as staff at a newspaper. Does anyone know what i should be majoring in? Do i need a "Photojournalism" degree or will a "Photography" degree do just as well? What about an AA in "Photography," is that enough? Do photo editers look more at the Portfolio or a college degree? Any help would be very usefull!

Advice so far is quite sound. Don't forget English. At least as an intensive. [or] minor [or] part of a double major.
