I've never seen this posted, but maybe it has been. Just thought it was a pretty cool little tool to be able to use, especially since it seems easy and it's online. Check it out at //www.sdgphoto.com/lightingstudio/ |

Bumping this because I saw Yanik's lighting diagram linked to from the Rockband thread and thought that would be cool to have a tool to easily create those diagrams and then I found this thread. Yanik used Kevin Kertz' PSD file which I downloaded and I also tried the online one linked in the original post of this thread - it works ok and is cool that it's online, but you can't save your setup as a downloadable file and the URL to my diagram didn't work - came up blank. You can screenshot it though:
The Kevin Kertz PSD file has folders and layers nicely organized and has LOTS more equipment icons.
What would be cool is if DPC had its own tool that allowed you to create a diagram online and optionally link it to your image. |

I'm thinking I'm being a bit dense here but how do you access the icons in the PSD file? I'm using PSE 4.0 and I haven't been able to figure out how to access the icons. All I see is the side panel with the layers section and with layers named after the different devices in what looks like a folder but I can't seem to get to any real icons??? |

The icons are in layers inside the folders.
I don't think Elements can read layers in folders. I created a version with the layers removed from their folders - download here. |
