I've seen pictures done like this so I finally decided to give it a try.

I combined this


and this


To get the background for this


I like the results and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

This is really neat. I am very impressed. You need to write a tutorial. I would like to try that some time.

But... shouldn't the image in the globe be upside down?

Hehe, yeah probably, but I don't know if that would look as cool.
