Well, I was pretty pleased with my first outing, and the cold is persisting, although not quite as intensely, so I decided to go out and take some more along the same lines. I admit that since it wasn't quite as cold, I got out of the car a few times, but most were from the car window. Based on one of John Setzler's posts, I shot many of them through the front windshield.

This is my favorite

SLP2

I used a different lens (Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO) set at 70mm. This new focal length made the blind shots a little more difficult (some ended up in the trash bin), but still yielded some interresting results.

Same deal with the high contrast BW, although I re-edited some to be slightly less dark.

Thanks for listening...

The style of your shots are very reminiscent of lomography. Actually, those are very good lomographs! An interesting idea Mariomel, I'll have to try it out with my lomo, and/or my digital cam.

Thanks for your comments.

I've never heard of Lomography, so I looked it up. Pretty amazing stuff. I like the rules:

10 golden rules of lomography

1. take your LOMO everywhere you go
2. use it at any time - day & night
3. lomography is not an interference in your life, but a part of it
4. approach the objects of your lomographic desire as close as possible
5. don't think (William Firebrace)
6. be fast
7. you don't have to know beforehand what is captured on your film
8. you don't have to know it afterwards either
9. shoot from the hip
10. don't care about rules

This was really the way I approached my Stop Light Photography as well.

Lee: Do you actually have a LOMO? I'd love to see some of your stuff.
