Can we ban everyone on this list?

uhm... you will have to include yourself though.

congrats to all the top shooters! We certainly have a ton of great talent here at DPC. :)

I just wish there was an automated stat system so that I could figure out
a: the total number of members that have entered a challenge this year vs the total number of members that have won a ribbon this year.

b: who has the best "ribboning percent" for those that haven entered at least 10 challenges.

I'm like 22nd or something. That doesn't even count. I was thinking more like top 11 only.

Hmmm, did I make any lists (not for ribbons, but I haven't been doing badly for placement up until this last freestudy). (And I recently got my average over 6!)

I think your list needs to start and stop with DeSousa. That would be my guess.

interesting observation - the list is made up of the popular folks here at DPC, not the less known or folks who don't frequent the forums as much.

Wouldn't this be an expected result? Popular = enters a lot. Less known = don't enter a lot. Which do you think has a better shot at getting on the list?

I don't agree with that analogy, as there are hundreds here that enter just as often.

If you got something to say Linda, just say it. Don't pretend to be coy.

I'm not being coy - I think my statement speaks loudly that DPC is seemingly becoming a popularity contest. That's just my opinion - which doesn't count for much here so don't get too worked up over it.

Well the most popular photos win every time that's for sure.

Well, I'll keep going down the list if it makes you feel better. These people are not forum regulars:

3. DeSousa
12. jasonlprice
13. william88
16. xtian
17. njsabs2323
22. DUCATISTA
25. brin
26. dwterry
34. pointandshoot

I'm just not sure what you mean. Either you are implying collusion somehow or you are saying that enough people recognize photographer's entries and vote them higher simply because they are popular rather than on the quality of their photography. I'm not sure I think either of those implications is innocuous.

I'm not going to get into it though and ruin this thread.

OK, here's the update with, what, about six weeks to go?

By Ribbons:
1. Scalvert 13
2. Alexsaberi 10
3. DrAchoo 10
4. De Sousa 8
5. hotpasta 8
6. eyewave 7
7. ireneM 6
8. jasonlprice 6
9. mpeters 6
10. falc 6

By Points:
1. Scalvert 55
2. DrAchoo 49
3. Alexsaberi 48
4. eyewave 41
5. De Sousa 37
6. ireneM 32
7. hotpasta 31
8. jasonlprice 31
9. timfythetoo 31
9. mpeters 27
10. falc 27

There are tiebreakers in there to sort out things, but mpeters and falc tied after 2 tiebreakers in points so I just considered them tied.

Into the final stretch!

haha, 163rd. Just kidding. Because I do this by hand you have to score 3 ribbons before I keep track. Otherwise it's too much work.

You score that 3rd ribbon and you'll be up there. I only have 37 people on the list.

I think I got 19 points. Where does that put me?
