I'm going to try to make it - though I'll probably get a hotel room and will stay one night. I have to work on Monday and I don't think I can do a 5 hour drive at night and then be to work on time the next morning.
But I'll try - see how money is also.

Great, I hope you can make it. Start looking for hotel rooms now, though, as there are a lot of college activities this time of year and rooms sell out fast here. |

OK, I've updated the OP with the possible participants. Let me know if I've missed anyone so far. I'll try to keep it up to date as best I can.
It's looking like the weekend of 10/13-10/14 is the best for the majority of folks, so let's settle on that.
Anyone else want in? The more the merrier! |

| One more bump to drum up interest -- I'm off on vacation for the next week and likely won't have a chance to check in until next Monday. We can start planning details then. |

| I had a great time at the winter GTG. I'll have to decide last minute though. I should be available for Sunday, but we'll see. I may be in Jamestown anyway on Sat. |

Sadly I will not be able to make it this time as my wife can not get the time off from work. I will continue to follow the Finger Lakes GTG's in the future to hopefully be able to make it out there and meet some of ya.

I won't be able to make it to this GTG. You guys and gals have fun.
We've got some time the week before, so we might be in that area from the 8th to the 10th, but can't do that weekend.

I might consider this trek but would appreciate some information as to accommodations in the area since it is a four hour drive for me.

Gary, the OP is away on vacation - I suspect he will be back soon to post more info. I am driving 3 hours for this from Buffalo, NY - I share your concern - looking for lodging for friday & Saturday night |

Now that I'm back from vacation, here's a little more info about accomodations.
Hotels in Ithaca fill up quickly this time of year, so if you want a hotel room, I would suggest not waiting any longer.
For those who want to crash at my place, I have an empty 2 bedroom apartment. By empty, I mean bare -- but I am working on remedying that. There is currently a double bed in one of the bedrooms, but I think that is already spoken for by  dsterner. I am working on getting another bed in the other bedroom. I also have a small studio below the apartment that currently has three sofas in it (the studio is really just storage for spare furniture we had when we moved in two months ago - don't ask how we ended up with 3 spare sofas!) Anyway, one of those sofas pulls out into a bed. I will probably leave that in the studio because I don't want to carry it upstairs -- but I will likely move the other 2 sofas into the living room in the apartment. Beyond that, there is plenty of floor space for sleeping bags.  vikas has also offered crashing space at his place.

I have a futon mattress in my living room, and floor space for maybe one sleeping bag. Once Gary's place has been occupied if someone is still looking for a place to crash PM me.
As for people who prefer staying in hotels - there are some nice bed and breakfast places near Taughannock Falls State Park.
