hi, I recently got the hvl-1000 flash for my camera from provantage.com for a VERY good price, almost 50 less than what sony wanted. Anyways, I know rechargeable batteries will be the best for the batteries, but what kind, NiMH? NiCD? I know there different, but which is better for the flash?

Use NiMH batteries and try and get at least 2200 NiMH. They last much longer than Nicad batteries.
