i dont reckon... i want a 5d so bad it hurts. 5d is an amazing camera i think only if you shoot alot of sports. you could give me your 5d and i'll give you a 30d with the 3 tipexed out... |

If you're after an excellent sports camera with great portrait possibilities, go for the 40D. If you're after an excellent portrait camera with minimal sports possibilities, stick with the 5D.
I use the 5D for portraits and weddings, no sports. I use the Mark III for sports and for weddings and some portraits (the Mark III and 40D are very similar and in fact, the 40D has some features that are newer/better than the Mark III).
