Sony 24-70mm F4 Vario-Tessar T* FE OSS

I took this picture in Adirondack Park.

I live in Westchester County, NY and the Adirondacks begin at about 3.5 hours north of me. I drove about 11 hours to, within, and back from the park today. I'm exhausted, but somewhat happy, and looking for some feedback. I was thinking of entering this picture in a contest.

Any help appreciated.

It's a lovely image. Here's a quick stab at it in CS2:

1. Used skew tool to level the lakeshore by pulling down the lower right corner and to remove some convergence by pulling out both upper corners.

2. Used shadow/highlight adjustment to make more dramatic while pulling some shadow detail; settings (reading from top) are: 70, 16, 28 on shadows, 46, 57, 64 on highlights, no change in the other panels. It could be improved, I have no doubt, working from the full-size original before the B/W conversion. There's a slight tendency for a few areas of the sky to block up flat.

I find it hard to believe that the picture is just THAT GOOD that no one (except Bear, thank you) can offer any hints at bettering it.

Maybe it's THAT BAD that nothing can salvage it...

But SOME feedback would be appreciated.

I think it's that good! You've hit all of the tonal ranges and I would think the print will be very rich. Great job and good luck in the contest.
